Question: How do you pronounce "Traek"?
Answer: TRAYK
Question: Are you willing to travel for work?
Short Answer: Yes
Slightly Longer Answer: When accepting longer-term projects, I build in travel to and from my home on a regular basis when remote work is not possible.
Question: Are you willing to relocate for work?
Answer: My business is here in Arizona (not to mention our personal lives), so it's not something I'd entertain without considerable reasons to move. The probable answer is 'no' but you can ask and we can discuss it.
Question: You have seven kids!? What are you? Catholic or Mormon?
Answer: I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (I don't like the Mormon nickname, but that's what a lot of people call our members). We have a big family because we love kids! It's also stacked the deck in our favor for grandparenthood. And before you ask: no, I just have one wife. She's AMAZING, highly capable, and way smarter than I am.
Question: Where did you go to school? I don't see anything about a degree.
Answer: I'm still working on that. My experience of 30 years in the tech world has been a fantastic teacher, but don't get me wrong; I'm not opposed to education. However, I never found what I did to be pigeonholed into something they give out degrees for. I've received industry certifications and even licenses, when the contract called for it. I even hold a current Arizona real estate license (for now, at least; I use it for family). However, I am currently attending BYU-Idaho online, working toward a business management degree. At some point I may even post the various licenses, certificates, classes, etc. I've received over the years. But in the end, I find my experience and demonstrated capabilities speak a lot louder than a degree.
